Predator management is a crucial component to proper wildlife management. We have several large wolf-packs that frequently roam our territory and we work to hunt/trap them each year.

Wolves are available as a no-charge add-on to our fall and spring hunts (as long as you purchase a tag), and there are often several taken each year.

It’s difficult to coincidentally run into a pack of wolves during the fall… In the wintertime, the odds of taking a wolf are much higher! Deep snow and cold weather push the wolves into more predictable areas, and we are able to establish large bait piles to attract them.

We will have several baits and blinds active during your hunt and will transition between them, looking for fresh activity. In addition to this, we will utilize howling techniques to both locate and draw in wolves away from the baits.

We will move between baits and camps on snowmobile and when we aren’t hunting wolves, we will be checking traps and snares. If successful, you are able to take home one furbearer of each species caught during your trip (pine marten, lynx, wolverine, red fox, wolf (if not shot), coyote, squirrel). Extra pelts can also be purchased at market price.
